Most test prep coaches agree that practicing for a test with test day condition is the best way to do well. Taking one or more practice tests before hand will make you feel more comfortable and confident about what you are doing when you take the real exam. Not only do you learn the material this way, but you defend yourself against test anxiety and ensure the highest possible LSAT score for yourself.

The first thing you should do is determine your starting score. You can download actual LSAT tests to help you determine this as well as to gain more practice at answering the types of questions that will be asked.. Download one of the 10 LSAT Practice Tests to start. After doing this, be sure to eliminate any answers to the questions that you KNOW are wrong. This will eliminate extra time you might otherwise take looking at answers that do not belong. If you do find that some answers need to be further examined, it is recommended that you circle them and move on. Be sure to go back after you finish the rest of the test and check over these answers that you have circled. Remember to take this practice exam just like you will take the real one by keeping time constraints in mind. Set aside a particular time that you know you'll have no distractions or other commitments and see how well you pace yourself. After you finish the practice test, go back through the questions you got wrong and see exactly why you got them wrong. This way, you'll be better able to focus on the things you need to read over and learn a little better. Finally, the best way to ensure that you do well on the actual exam is to continue taking these practice tests over and over again in the weeks you prepare for the test. This task will be like anything else you do in life in the sense that practice makes perfect.
